Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County (CACRC) is the only agency of its kind serving our community. We were established as a non-profit organization in 2016 and opened our doors for full services in April of 2018. We are accredited nationally by National Children’s Alliance ® and state-wide by Children’s Advocacy Centers™ of Texas.

Donor Relations Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Development Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The Donor Relations Coordinator plays a key role in building and sustaining meaningful relationships with donors and supporters of the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County (CACRC). Reporting to the Development Manager, this position manages donor stewardship activities, engagement opportunities, donor communications, and database management while supporting fundraising campaigns, special events, and initiatives that advance the organization’s mission and philanthropic goals. The Donor Relations Coordinator serves as an ambassador for CACRC, helping cultivate, solicit, steward, retain, and recognize donors through meaningful and personalized engagement.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Donor Relations & Stewardship

  • Cultivate, engage, and steward relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors through personalized outreach and meaningful donor experiences.
  • Manage a portfolio of donors by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, stewarding, retaining, and upgrading supporters while re-engaging lapsed donors.
  • Assist in implementing donor moves-management strategies to increase engagement, giving levels, and donor retention.
  • Conduct donor and prospect research to identify giving capacity, philanthropic interests, and engagement opportunities.
  • Coordinate donor engagement activities, including scheduling meetings, conducting site tours, delivering donor gifts, attending check presentations, and providing mission-focused presentations to community groups and organizations.
  • Develop customized donor communications and follow-up strategies for prospects and supporters participating in CACRC programs, campaigns, and events.
  • Draft and distribute donor communications, including acknowledgment letters, mass emails, newsletters, donor impact updates, donor recognition materials, and other stewardship communications.
  • Collaborate with program staff and leadership to gather impact stories, outcomes, client success stories, and program updates for donor communications and stewardship efforts.
  • Assist with gift processing, reconciliation, donor acknowledgments, and ensuring timely and accurate donor recognition and receipting.
  • Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM, including data entry, communication tracking, reporting, and donor correspondence.
  • Generate donor reports and insights to support fundraising strategy, relationship management, and decision-making.
  • Track and report donor retention, renewal, upgrade, and reactivation metrics, providing recommendations to strengthen donor engagement and long-term support.
  • Uphold the highest standards of donor confidentiality, data integrity, and ethical fundraising practices.

Campaigns & Fundraising Initiatives

  • Support annual campaigns, including Go Blue for Kids, North Texas Giving Day, Giving Tuesday, and Year-End Appeals.
  • Manage CACRC’s recurring donor program, the Blue Heart Society, including donor acquisition, acknowledgment, stewardship, retention, and program promotion.
  • Manage in-kind donations, including solicitation, tracking, acknowledgment, receipting, and recognition of donors.
  • Assist with donor acquisition and relationship-building efforts to expand CACRC’s base of support.
  • Assist with stewardship activities and reporting requirements for corporate and foundation supporters, as assigned.
  • Generate reports and donor insights as needed to support fundraising strategy and decision-making.

Events & Donor Engagement

  • Coordinate logistics and donor engagement activities for key events and stewardship programs, including Blue Tie Guy Ambassador events, Guardian Angel receptions, donor salons, and donor appreciation events.
  • Collaborate with Women of Courage Ambassadors and other volunteer leadership groups to increase donor engagement and community awareness.
  • Support volunteer, ambassador, committee, and donor engagement activities related to fundraising initiatives and donor cultivation efforts.
  • Support the planning and execution of signature fundraising events, including management of silent auctions for Go Blue for Kids Gala and Bubbles & Bags.
  • Assist with tracking stewardship and event-related expenses in accordance with departmental budgets.
  • Assist with event setup, execution, and teardown as needed.
  • Represent CACRC at networking events, community gatherings, and meetings with prospective donors and partners. Some evening and weekend participation may be required.

 

Special Programs & Supply Drives

  • Provide administrative and engagement support for auxiliary groups, including Blue Tie Guy Ambassadors, Women of Courage Ambassadors, and Guardian Angel Society.
  • Manage donor-related special programs in collaboration with Family Advocacy and other departments, including Back-to-School Drive, Thanksgiving Basket Drive, Holiday of Hope, and My Safe Space.
  • Coordinate donor engagement opportunities associated with these programs to enhance mission awareness and strengthen donor relationships.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

 

Experience:

  • 1-3 years in Development / Donor Relations experience preferred.
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills.
  • Self-starter who enjoys new challenges and adapts well to changing priorities.

 

Skills and Abilities Requirements:

  • Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Confident public speaker with experience presenting to groups and community audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Experience with Bloomerang or similar donor database systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with donors, volunteers, community partners, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive donor and client information with professionalism.
  • Demonstrated understanding of donor stewardship, relationship management, and donor retention best practices.
  • Knowledge of fundraising ethics and commitment to donor-centered philanthropy consistent with Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) standards.
  • Experience conducting donor research, analyzing donor data, and utilizing donor insights to inform engagement strategies.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and solutions-oriented with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency is highly desirable but not required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Children’s Advocacy Center for Rockwall County’s mission, strategic priorities, fundraising goals, and community engagement efforts.

Family Advocate

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF PROGRAM SERVICES

COMPENSATION: COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE

BASE OF OPERATIONS: ROCKWALL, TX

 

 

JOB SUMMARY: The Family Advocate provides trauma-informed advocacy, crisis intervention, education, and ongoing support to non-offending caregivers and families served by CACRC. This position coordinates services throughout the investigative process, facilitates access to community resources, participates in multidisciplinary case management, and serves as a liaison among families, MDT partners, and agency staff to promote client safety, support, and healing.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as the primary family advocate for assigned clients and serve as the primary point of contact for non-offending caregivers, providing support throughout the investigative and healing process
  • Educate and support non-offending caregivers regarding CACRC services, the forensic interview process, MDT response, victims’ rights, child abuse dynamics, Crime Victims Compensation, Texas IVSS, medical evaluations, court proceedings, and available community resources
  • Assist non-offending caregivers with intake paperwork, explain the role of CACRC, the forensic interview process, available services, and victims’ rights
  • Participate in Comprehensive Case Management (CCM), including weekly CCM meetings, monthly staffing/support sessions, and mental health briefings
  • Administer Trauma and suicide screenings along with brief in-office interventions
  • Assess client needs for CACRC services and community resources and make referrals in accordance with agency protocol
  • Provide initial caregiver and follow-up surveys
  • Provide long-term family advocacy for clients whose needs are identified during the forensic interview and are connected to an ongoing investigation
  • Educate families about the medical evaluation process, assist with scheduling, and provide or arrange medical accompaniment as requested
  • Provide crisis-intervention and ongoing support services within appropriate time frames
  • Provide court education and accompaniment as needed
  • Document services provided for timely reports and maintain accurate family advocacy records
  • Serve as a liaison between CACRC clients, the Director of Program Services, Family Support Specialist, and MDT members to support coordinated service delivery
  • Assist the Director of Program Services by serving as a primary Family Advocacy contact for inquiries related to Family Advocacy both internally and externally
  • Participate in monthly Strategy Session and Special Staffings
  • Manage screening and intervention materials to communicate supply, process, or documentation needs to the Director of Program Services as appropriate
  • Assist with coordination of family advocacy programs, including Back to School, Holiday Assistance, Family Care, and other Family Support initiatives as needed
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance resource availability and referral opportunities for Family Advocacy clients

  • Public speaking experience, preferred

  • Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency is highly desirable but not required

Bilingual Family Advocate

JOB SUMMARY: The Bilingual Family Advocate provides Spanish- and English-language advocacy, interpretation, education, and support services to children and families served by CACRC. This position coordinates Family Care volunteers, supports family advocacy programs and special projects, facilitates access to community resources, and collaborates with multidisciplinary partners and agency staff to promote client safety, support, and healing.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Serve as the primary Family Advocate for Spanish-speaking clients, provide crisis intervention, advocacy, referrals, and ongoing support throughout the investigative and healing process
  • Educate and support non-offending caregivers regarding CACRC services, the forensic interview process, MDT response, victims’ rights, child abuse dynamics, Crime Victims Compensation, Texas IVSS, medical evaluations, court proceedings, and available community resources
  • Maintain communication with clients, MDT partners, and service providers to facilitate referrals, coordinate services, and ensure appropriate follow-up and case support
  • Participate in Comprehensive Case Management (CCM), including weekly CCM meetings, monthly staffing/support sessions, and mental health briefings, Strategy Sessions, and Special Staffings
  • Document services provided for timely reports and maintain accurate family advocacy records
  • Provide medical and court accompaniment as needed
  • Translate non-legal documents and provide interpretation services for program services clients
  • Provide back-up Family Advocacy services, as needed, for non-Spanish speaking clients including client intake, trauma and suicide screenings, needs assessments, crisis intervention, and coordination of services in accordance with agency protocols
  • Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and serve as the primary point of contact for Family Care volunteers supporting Program Services
  • Coordinate Family Care coverage for forensic interviews, advocacy services, and other client support activities, providing direct service when volunteer coverage is unavailable
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Family Advocacy volunteers during on-site activities
  • Maintain Family Advocacy resources, including client educational materials, resource displays, referral information, and volunteer support materials
  • Coordinate and support Family Advocacy Special Projects (i.e. Back to school, Holiday Assistance, etc.), this includes working with the Development staff and Volunteers
  • Manage Family Advocacy resources, including on-site client materials, resource displays, and resource binders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners to enhance resource availability and referral opportunities for Family Advocacy clients
